Joba Chamberlain Shoulder = No Bueno

In the last hour there have been some underground rumblings about Joba Chamberlain, suggesting that he has a torn (or partially torn) rotator cuff. I’ve checked with some reliable sources and nothing is confirmed but if this is true – calling it "bad news" would be an understatement.

Meanwhile, out in LA-La Land, Scott Proctor’s elbow tendinitis is not getting any better. So much for the Joba Rules… pitch them everyday and they burn out…pitch them on a strict schedule and they get injured just the same. Such is sports.

You're joking right? I hope for Joba's sake it's not that serious and he recovers but whoever came up with the half assed idea of having him start in relief then switch midseason ought to be fired from baseball for wrecking this kids shoulder.

Didn't Hank Steinbrenner say that any idiot could see that Joba should be a starter, or something to that effect? Not sure you can fire him.
